Your data belongs to you. This policy explains, in plain language, what Nouri collects, why we collect it, and how you stay in control of it.
1. What data we collect
To give you a personal Nouri experience, we collect: your email address for account access, the health profile you set up during onboarding (goals, dietary preferences, allergies, body stats), your food scan history and meal logs, basic device data (browser, screen size, OS), and anonymous usage analytics that help us improve the product.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to power the AI features you signed up for — personal meal plans, nutrient scoring, recommendations — and to make the product better over time. We send product emails (trial reminders, weekly summaries, important updates). You can opt out of non-essential email at any time from your profile settings.
3. How we store your data
Your data lives on managed Postgres servers (provided by Supabase), encrypted at rest and in transit. Servers are located in the US and EU. We do not sell your data, and we never share identifiable health data with advertisers.
4. Third-party services
Nouri relies on a small number of trusted services to operate: OpenAI and Google for the AI models that power scanning and meal planning, Stripe for payments, and Supabase for database and authentication. Each provider only receives the minimum data needed to do its job.
5. Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. Email us at privacy@nouri.app and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
